“I was changed By Jesus and he will change yours too” – Tems

Tems, a rising star in the Nigerian music industry, recently found herself at the center of an engaging online discussion after posting a breathtaking photo session that suggested a forthcoming album.

When a fervent supporter linked her to the Osun mythological goddess Yemoja or Yemeya, uproar ensued. Tems’s response in return, however, said much about her faith and inward growth.

Tems has long been renowned for her distinctive style and entrancing music. It didn’t take long for the internet to become viral when she released a photo from a compelling photo shoot that alluded to a song or her eagerly anticipated album.

One particular photo from the shoot caught the attention of fans who saw a resemblance between Tems and the Osun goddess, Yemoja or Yemeya. In Yoruba culture, Osun is revered as a goddess associated with water, fertility, and motherhood. Her image is often depicted in flowing blue and white robes, which the fan believed Tems was emulating in the photo shoot.

Tems’ response to the fan’s comparison was as graceful as it was powerful. She took to social media to set the record straight, making her beliefs crystal clear. In her statement, she declared her unwavering faith in God and Jesus Christ, stating that they were the only ones she believed in.

“Actually it’s about Jesus Christ teaching me how to walk on water, to trust Him and not in human understanding.

He changed my life. And if you seek Him He will fill you up too.

He is the Lord of Lords.

The word of God, made flesh 1 am His sheep. He is my Shepherd.

And I have been forever transformed.

I am His forever. THATS JUST ME DOE”
